This was reported in 7-th body ДШВ.

According to military observations, during the flight of UAVs at a speed of 110-120 km/h, communication could disappear for 10-20 seconds. At this time, the devices continued to move, but the operators lost the ability to fully control them.

In the case explained that the problems are associated with the package Starshield, designed for military use. Previously, it had no restrictions on the speed of data transmission.

Interruptions in communication also pose risks for the use of high-speed drones. In particular, Middle Strike type devices should gain high speed during launch, and unstable connection may make it impossible to launch them or use them for their intended purpose.

The consequences of the problems have already affected the combat work. According to 7 Corps ДШВ, from the beginning of the day one of the units of unmanned systems in the Gulyaipilsk direction was forced to cancel part of the missions due to disruptions in communication.

  • LB.ua sources in the Defense Forces confirmed information about new restrictions on Starlink. According to the adviser to the President of Сергія Бескрестнова, the Ukrainian military did not warn in advance about the introduction of restrictions, which led to the failure of part of combat missions.
  • Previously, SpaceX has already limited the use of Starlink during a series of long-range strikes on objects in Russia and the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. This led to the disruption of individual operations.
