Energy Minister Австралії Кріс Боуен said that the country will not buy fuel in Russia and will not change this approach after Trump’s announcement of the release of Russian diesel to world markets

The minister said this at a press conference, Bloomberg reports.

Bowen spoke 10 October at a press conference in the west of Sydney. According to him, Australia does not need Russian fuel, and purchases from there will continue to remain prohibited. The Agency notes that the ban is kept so that the country does not benefit from the invasion of Ukraine.

"Нам в Австралії не потрібне й не бажане російське пальне. Ми не хочемо, щоб Володимир Путін отримав вигоду від цієї війни на Близькому Сході. Те, що роблять США, це їхня справа, але ми не змінимо підходу", Bowen said.

Bowen also reported that Australia has gasoline stocks on 43 days, two days more than a week ago, and diesel stocks are 31 days, one day less.

On Friday, Trump announced a series of cargoes of Russian diesel, which will arrive on world markets from this month: first about 13,5 million barrels. According to Bloomberg, this destroys long-term sanctions, and the White House is looking for ways to knock down fuel prices before the midterm elections in США.

  • We will remind, 9 October trump said about the "надзвичайно успішну" conversation with Putin and the agreement on the supply of Russian diesel to world markets. After that, the Ministry of Finance США issued a temporary license for its export.
  • Vice Prime Minister РФ Олександр Новак said that Russia immediately begins to lift restrictions on the export of diesel fuel, without waiting for a previously set deadline.
  • In Europe, they responded to Trump’s statement: Germany said that they maintain sanctions against Russia, the Prime Minister of Estonia called the agreements with dictators a road to hell, and the head of European diplomacy Кая Каллас stressed that now is not the time to ease the pressure on Russia.
  • Уряд Великої Британії said it would keep pressure on Russia with the help of "найжорсткішого режиму санкцій, який коли-небудь застосовувала Велика Британія".
