Brave1 and Ukrainian Startup Fund launch «Інноваційне протезування» grant program
Ukrainian Startup Fund and Defense Cluster Brave1 launch the «Інноваційне протезування» grant program for developers and manufacturers of prostheses. This is stated in the Brave1 press release.
Ukrainian developers will be able to receive up to 8 million UAH irrevocable state grant for the development, testing and improvement of technologies in the field of prosthetics - from idea verification to the creation of a functional prototype. The size of the grant depends on the level of readiness of the technology.
- Up to 2 million UAH - for testing ideas
- Up to 4 million UAH - to create a laboratory sample
- Up to 8 million UAH - to create a prototype or finished product
Brave1 notes that the goal of the program is to create conditions under which Ukrainian teams will be able to go from an innovative idea to a functional prototype, its tests, certification and further scaling in the Ukrainian and international markets. Submission of applications takes place through the Fund's portal.

What solutions can receive grant support:
- Solutions for prosthetics of upper and lower limbs - bionic, electronic and mechanical systems that increase the functionality and convenience of prostheses.
- Innovative components for prostheses - electronics, drives, battery systems, mechanical units and other technologies that can reduce the dependence of Ukrainian manufacturers on imported components
- Solutions for personalization and customization of prostheses - in particular, 3D printing technologies and other solutions that allow adapting the prosthesis to individual human needs.
The program is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine.
Brave1 is a Ukrainian defense technology cluster created in 2023 to develop and scale innovations in the field of defense tech. The platform unites the state, technology companies, startups, investors and the military. Brave1 helps developers create and test technologies for the Defense Forces, in particular in the fields of unmanned systems, robotic systems, РЕБ, artificial intelligence and military technologies.
One of the main support tools is grant financing of Ukrainian defense-tech developments. For three years of work Brave1 financed the development of Ukrainian defense technologies for 6,2 billion UAH.
