Dutch Defense Minister: Russia is no longer just an aggressor, but an enemy

She said this during the parliamentary debate on the budget of the Ministry of defense, reports Ukrinform.

"Росія більше не просто агресор. Ви вже не так часто почуєте від мене цей евфемізм", she said.

According to her, Russia "випробовує західне суспільство", in particular - because of attacks, sabotage and cyber attacks in the Netherlands and neighboring countries. The Minister stressed that the Netherlands can not be naive about the Russian threat.

"Росія - наш ворог. І ні, це не означає, що ми перебуваємо у стані війни. Але й безтурботний мир також дуже далеко", she noted.

The minister added that "уроки України також знайшли відображення в  нещодавно представленій оборонній стратегії".

She also noted that the countries of НАТО should be ready and resistant to potential threats from Russia. The minister also advocated the further strengthening of the armed forces of the Netherlands and support for Ukraine.

"Путіну достатньо лише сказати: "I stop this and come to the negotiating table". І доки він відмовляється це робити, ми маємо допомагати Україні вистояти перед цим ворогом", she said.
