European Parliament Defense Committee chairman: Europe can no longer rely on США over Trump-Putin deal
The chairman of the Defense and Security Committee Європарламенту Марі-Агнес Штрак-Zimmermann criticized President США Дональда Трампа for calling for Володимира Зеленського's resignation.
She said that such statements the American leader takes the side of the Russian dictator Володимира Путіна. About this MEP wrote in the social network X.
"Якщо Трамп закликає Зеленського піти у відставку, він однозначно стає на бік убивці. Про керівництво Україною вирішують виключно українці та українки на вільних виборах, а не Білий дім і тим більше не Кремль"," stressed Struck-Zimmermann.
She also said that Putin should appear before the Hague tribunal, and his victims should receive proper support.
According to MEPs, his attacks on allies and democratic institutions trump weakens the West and harms democracy. She noted that Europe can no longer unconditionally rely on США as a partner.
Struck-Zimmermann urged European countries to adhere to a clear course and continue to support Ukraine.
