For Ukrainians simplified confirmation of retirement experience: what has changed
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has changed the rules of confirmation of insurance experience. Now Ukrainians will be able to confirm the periods of work even without a work record or the necessary records in it.
This was reported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Сергій Корецький.
To confirm the pension experience is now possible and without a labor floor. To do this, use state registers, other documents or testimony of former colleagues.
How to prove retirement without a work record
First of all, information on labor activity will be checked in state electronic registers. If the necessary information is not available, a person will be able to provide a workbook or other documents confirming the periods of work. The government has expanded the list of such documents.
If the documents are lost or cannot be restored, the length of service can be confirmed with the help of at least two witnesses who worked with the applicant.
«Якщо документів немає або вони не збереглися, стаж можна буде підтвердити показаннями щонайменше двох свідків, які працювали разом із людиною. Пенсійний фонд допомагатиме знайти таких людей», said the Prime Minister.
Who are the new rules
A separate procedure was provided for Ukrainians who worked at enterprises in temporarily occupied territories or in areas of hostilities.
The new rules will also apply to people whose work documents were destroyed as a result of the war or who cannot get them due to the termination of enterprises.
According to Koretsky, the government’s decision should help protect the pension rights of citizens who, due to Russian aggression, have lost the opportunity to document their seniority.
Recall that some Ukrainians have the right to early retirement, provided that they comply with clear legislative requirements.
