Government working with community leaders to restore funding for non-priority expenditures, - Serhii Koretskyi
Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhii Koretskyi, along with Government members and the Head of the State Treasury Service, took part in a meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine. Members of Parliament also joined the meeting.

Participants discussed in detail the situation with public finances and the forced austerity regime, which led to the postponement of some non-priority expenditures to fully cover defense needs, salary, and pension payments.
The Prime Minister emphasized that he understands the concerns of community leaders and local authorities regarding the decisions made.
"I explained in detail the reasons and logic behind their adoption. At the same time, we heard many constructive proposals from communities and regions," the Head of Government stated.
Representatives of communities and regions provided a number of constructive proposals that the Government will process jointly with the Ministry of Finance.
The Prime Minister thanked community leaders for their daily work, especially in frontline cities, as well as for their readiness for constructive dialogue and joint solution-seeking.
"For our part, we are doing everything possible to restore the necessary expenditures as soon as possible. For this, it is critically important to secure international financing and fulfill all necessary conditions to receive assistance from partners," Serhii Koretskyi noted.
The Government continues to work together to get through this difficult period and return to full-scale funding of all necessary areas as soon as possible.
The Prime Minister also noted the importance of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities as an effective platform for communication with communities.
