How startups can attract millions from the EU: presenting a step-by-step guide

Creating innovative products is often easier than filling out grant applications. To ensure startups do not make mistakes when applying for grants, the Ukrainian Startup Fund has presented a practical guide called Guide to Grants. The new guide simplifies attracting European funds as much as possible. The team presented the document during the WIN2EDIH side event at the IT Arena 2026 technology conference.

Secrets of successful funding

Experts have gathered key insights for the correct formulation of grant projects:

evaluate the compatibility of the grant program requirements with the company's real goals;

turn an idea into a clear concept: define the problem, select KPIs, plan the implementation schedule, and look for reliable partners;

build the application logically, from the description of the problem to the planned results;

involve specialists with relevant expertise in the team to perform specific roles;

reflect the actual scope of work, distribution of responsibilities, and real resources in financial calculations.
