International ММА tournament in memory of fallen heroes "ІДУ НА ВИ: Тризна" was held in Kyiv

International mixed martial arts tournament ММА "ІДУ НА ВИ: Тризна", dedicated to the memory of fallen Ukrainian soldiers, was held in Kiev 9 October

The event was attended by correspondent Еспресо Діана Польова.

The event was organized by the Third Army Corps and the Veterans Corps. For the first time, the tournament was held in an international format, bringing together Ukrainian and foreign fighters, veterans, current servicemen, adaptive athletes and civilian athletes.

Participants competed in the categories "військові", "цивільні" and "адаптивні атлети". The tournament became a space for honoring fallen Heroes, preserving the memory of deceased brothers and sisters and developing a warrior culture based on strength, discipline and mutual respect.

The name "Тризна" refers to the ancient tradition of honoring dead soldiers. Through sports matches, the organizers seek to revive the ritual tradition of memory and pass it on to the next generations.

"Ми відроджуємо традицію обрядів тризни, коли проводжали воїнів у небесне воїнство. У такий спосіб вкарбовували у свої серця пам’ять про тих, хто вже не з нами", said Арсеній Білодуб, co-organizer and co-founder of the "ІДУ НА ВИ" series of tournaments.

According to him, the tournament takes place between 1 and 14 October - dates associated with Ukrainian military traditions, the Day of Defenders and Defenders of Ukraine and the date of the founding of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army. The event is dedicated to the memory of generations of Ukrainians who fought for the independence of the state and the right of the Ukrainian people to live on their land.

"Цей турнір – можливість кожному з нас згадати тих, хто загинув, знайомих, близьких, незнайомих, і на все життя вкарбувати в серці цю пам’ять", said Арсеній Білодуб.

"ІДУ НА ВИ: Тризна" is the third tournament of the series held in 2026. The first one took place in January in Kyiv under the name "Відродження легенди" and marked the return of the series of competitions launched in 2009. The second tournament - "Під знаком Лева"
