Liashko: Russia has started attacking pharmaceutical warehouses in Ukraine more often
Over the past month, Russia has begun attacking pharmaceutical warehouses, production facilities, and storage sites for critical medicines more frequently, trying to complicate Ukrainians' access to necessary drugs and treatment.

This was stated by Minister of Health Viktor Liashko at the World Health Summit in Berlin, reports Ukrinform.
"Unfortunately, over the past month, we have started facing a greater number of attacks on the pharmaceutical sector. They are attacking pharmaceutical warehouses, production facilities, and sites where valuable, critically important medicines are stored so that Ukrainians do not have access even to basic medicines, drugs, and treatment when they need them the most," Liashko noted.
He emphasized that the destruction of medicine supplies creates an additional burden on the entire healthcare system, as people with chronic diseases try to purchase necessary drugs in advance. Therefore, the system must quickly respond to sudden changes in demand and supply disruptions.
Liashko also noted that Russian strikes on Ukraine's medical infrastructure must receive an appropriate reaction from the world.
He added that by continuing strikes on Ukraine's medical system and residential buildings, Russia demonstrates that its goal is the destruction of Ukraine and freedom.
At the same time, Liashko pointed out that even during the war, Ukraine continues healthcare system reforms and is already ready to share its experience of working in conditions of a large-scale crisis with other countries.
- On September 28, Russia attacked the Darnitsa pharmaceutical plant in Kyiv for the third time in a week.
- Russia has previously targeted pharmaceutical and medical facilities, in particular, the Apteka Dobroho Dnia warehouse, Pharma Start, and the Biokon and Optima-Pharm logistics complexes.
