Macron said that ЄС will consider the request of Ukraine for 70 billion euros
French President Емманюель Макрон assured that Європейський Союз will not leave Ukraine without support and will consider Kyiv’s request for additional funding.

The politician said this during the summit ЄС in Brussels, writes France 24.
According to Macron, financial assistance to Ukraine is planned to be discussed with the participation of «Групи семи» countries, partners of Kiev and Європейського Союзу.
«Ми, безумовно, розглянемо питання фінансування, яке надаватимуть країни G7, наші партнери та, звичайно, Європейський Союз», said the French president.
Macron also said that European countries are working to strengthen the defense capabilities of Ukraine. In particular, we are talking about assistance with satellite images and early warning systems about threats.
The issue has become particularly relevant amid tensions between Kiev and Washington, which have again drawn attention to the Ukrainian army’s dependence on American technology.
«Ми докладаємо всіх зусиль, щоб допомогти Україні зміцнити її здатність до самооборони за допомогою супутникових знімків і систем раннього попередження, які є вкрай необхідними», Macron said.
We will remind, on the eve of the President of Ukraine Володимир Зеленський appealed to the leaders of ЄС with a request to provide Ukraine with an additional 70 billion euros in 2027. These funds should help the country continue the fight against Russian aggression.
Earlier, the President of Єврокомісії Урсула von der Leyen said that Європейський Союз will provide Ukraine with additional funding for drones and missiles to strengthen defense and protect airspace. Also, ЄС will discuss Ukraine's financial needs for the next year and attract additional international support.
