"Максимально просунулись уперед": Лубінець on negotiations on the evacuation of civilians from the Oleshkiv community

About 6 thousand people need to be evacuated from the temporarily occupied Oleshkiv community

According to Дмитра Лубінця, the number of civilians who remain in the temporarily occupied territory of the Oleshkivska hromada of the Kherson region can reach 6 thousand people. This is not only about Oleshko, but also about six neighboring settlements.

"Насправді там цифра може бути набагато більша, бо ми кажемо не тільки про самі Олешки, ми кажемо про Олешківську ОТГ. Там ще шість населених пунктів поблизу, і евакуацію треба проводити одночасно з усіх цих населених пунктів. Тобто за нашим аналізом, там може йтися приблизно про 6 000 цивільних, включаючи сотні, десь до 200 українських дітей", I told the Ombudsman.

According to him, up to 2 thousand civilians, including children, can remain in Oleskh.

Ukraine and Russia agree on conditions for humanitarian evacuation

Дмитро Лубінець reported that the Ukrainian side holds daily talks with Russia to achieve a ceasefire and ensure the safe departure of civilians from the hromada’s settlements.

"Ми кожного дня проводимо перемовини з російською стороною щодо розблокування гуманітарної евакуації з цих населених пунктів. Багато не можу розказати деталей, але скажу так, що ми, на мій погляд, максимально просунулись уперед",

According to him, the Russian side has taken up the proposals that Ukraine put forward earlier. Currently, the parties are agreeing on the latest details necessary to ensure the regime of silence and the organization of evacuation.

"Все, що давним-давно пропонувала Україна, взято в роботу російською стороною. Ми зараз виходимо на узгодження останніх деталей щодо забезпечення режиму тиші і забезпечення евакуації всіх бажаючих не просто з Олешок, а зразу на територію, яку контролює український уряд", explained Дмитро Лубінець.

He added that difficult issues remain in the negotiations, but hopes for concrete results in the near future.

"Тобто там залишаються, скажімо так, непрості питання, але найближчим часом, я сподіваюсь, що ми всі побачимо конкретні результати від цих перемовин",
