Medicines and donor organs will be transported by drones: a new project is launched in Ukraine
In Ukraine, they plan to use drones to transport medical supplies between hospitals. The Cabinet of Ministers approved the launch of a pilot project that should accelerate the delivery of medicines, blood samples and donor organs.

Such an experimental project was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Сергій Корецький.
The first site of the project will be the Heart Institute МОЗ of Ukraine. The institution already has three specialized drones that can cover a distance of up to 700 km and land on the territory of hospitals.
Drone flights will agree with the military. Drones will have a special status and will be identified in the air. Also, they provided for the order of action during air alarm: if necessary, drones will be able to land at certain reserve points.
The project will be implemented by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Digital Transformation. On its basis, the government plans to create a Ukrainian civilian drone flight management system (UTM) and develop rules for their safe use.
According to Koretsky, due to the war and the difficult road situation, the transportation of medical goods by cars can take time, which is critical for the rescue of patients.
This is especially true for transplantation, where the speed of delivery of donor organs is crucial.
The use of drones will allow faster transportation between medical institutions of medicines, medical devices, blood samples for tests and donor organs, in particular from remote areas.
Earlier, with the help of drones, the Ukrainian military delivered almost 4 tons of food, medicines and children’s kits to the occupied Oleshki in the Kherson region, where a humanitarian catastrophe is now.
