New Delhi prepares for new protests after the release of the leaders of the movement “тарганів”
A court in New Delhi ordered the release of the leaders of the movement “Cockroach Janta Party” (CJP) Deepke, led by representatives of generation Z. At the same time, the city is preparing for the second day of protests: thousands of security forces deployed, and the roads are blocked by barricades, BBC reports.

Абхіджита Діпке was detained along with other leaders on Saturday after arriving in the city where they were to lead protests demanding electoral reform. Deepke started this movement in May after India's Chief Justice compared some unemployed young people with “тарганами”
Police denied them permission to hold the action, and in order to prevent protesters from reaching the venue, unprecedented restrictions were imposed. Despite this, thousands of people tried to take part in the action. ЗМІ reported the detention of 7000 people who were released late in the evening.
The CJP movement, which is not registered in India as a political party, requires electoral reform just months before important state elections.
The organization also demands the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar due to allegations of manipulation of voter lists. This statement is rejected by the Election Commission.
On Sunday morning, CJP lawyer Ратна Сінгх said police had informed her of their intention to bring Dipke and two other leaders of the movement - Саурава Даса and Ашутоша Ранку - to the Magistrate's Court with a petition to take them into custody for “підтримання громадського спокою”.
- In July, Education Minister Індії Дхармендра Прадхан resigned after mass protests in New Delhi over irregularities during exams in the country's universities. Thousands of young people gathered in the capital and other regions of the country under the banner of the “The Cockroach Janta Party” movement, demanding education reform. During rallies, police used tear gas and batons against protesters who tried to march the rally.
