Північна Корея again launched ballistic missiles towards the Sea of Japan
Північна Корея launched several ballistic missiles from its east coast today.
This was reported by France24 with reference to the Seoul military.
“Наші військові виявили близько 09:20 (00:20 за Гринвічем) кілька балістичних ракет, запущених з району Пхеньяна в напрямку Східного моря”, according to a statement from the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Південної Кореї.
It is noted that the military countries have increased surveillance and vigilance regarding possible additional launches.
The Japanese Ministry of Defense has separately confirmed the launch of at least one ballistic missile.
- Tensions between the two Koreas have risen since three South Korean soldiers were wounded last month in a two-mine blast in the Seoul-controlled demilitarized zone (ДМЗ), which separates the two countries.
- A joint investigation by Seoul and ООН concluded that Північна Корея planted mines more than a year ago, something Pyongyang denies.
