It is noted that they penetrated the place of the protest, which is protected, and began to shout slogans demanding the resignation of the head of the election Commission of the country due to the controversial revision of voter lists.

The founder of the Абхіджит Діпке movement has released a video showing police withdrawing Ашутоша Ранку and Саурава Даса from the territory of Jantar Mantar, a historic observatory in Delhi that is a popular place for protests.

The footage records how they and other participants climb over police fences and then chant slogans, holding the flag of India in their hands.

Last week, law enforcement officers detained hundreds of activists, among them Dipke.

Opponents of Prime Minister Нарендри Моді argue that the revision of voter lists is beneficial to his party. The political force itself and the Election Commission reject these accusations.

  • In the capital of India, protests continue with 3 October demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
  • Police have stepped up security measures across Delhi, while protesters are challenging restrictions on venues for protests.
  • In July, after mass protests in New Delhi due to violations during examinations in the country's universities, the Minister of Education Індії Дхармендра Прадхан resigned. Then thousands of young people gathered in the capital and other regions of the country under the banner “The Cockroach Janta Party”, demanding reform of the education system. During rallies, police used tear gas and batons against protesters who tried to march from the site.
