Шмигаль: For energy Chernihiv region approved the purchase of 160,7 million euros

This was reported by the Minister of Energy Денис Шмигаль on the results of acquaintance with the state of energy facilities of the border of Chernihiv region.

According to him, the funds will be used to purchase power transformers, high-voltage equipment, equipment for electrical substations and their protection.

During the visit, the main attention was paid to the key substations that provide distribution and transmission of electricity and regularly undergo Russian attacks. Repair crews work around the clock and restore damaged facilities, as soon as the security situation allows.

This year, work on the second level protection at the 14 substations of the region was started at the expense of the state budget. They are ongoing, and the minister instructed to accelerate the pace of work.

Шмигаль also visited cogeneration plants and other important energy facilities in the region. Among the priorities of preparation for the autumn-winter period are the development of distributed generation, the creation of equipment reserves, the construction of shelters and protective structures.

In addition, this year, energy enterprises of Chernihiv region received through the hubs of the Ministry of Energy 338,5 tons of equipment.

Within the framework of the ПРООН project, four cogeneration plants with a total capacity of 10 MW were purchased for the region.

Separately, the region received 48 generators with a capacity of 80 to 650 kW within the framework of the Latvian government program. More 12 generators are expected to arrive.
