President Володимир Зеленський said that США did not agree to a compromise proposal of Ukraine on strikes against Russian НПЗ. According to him, Kiev asked for anti-ballistic systems to protect the power system

He said this at a press conference in Brussels, the correspondent of the European truth.

On Friday, 16 October, Зеленський reiterated that the agreements of США and Russia were adopted without informing Ukraine. He considers agreements that determine the actions of Kiev without his consent unacceptable.

"Угода щодо дизеля стала для нас сюрпризом. Якщо йдеться про наші відповіді по території ворога — я думаю, що маємо знати про це", he said.

Ukraine, he said, offered США a compromise option, which was ready to act as the Americans expected. This option also did not oblige Russia to stop the strikes from its side.

He also assured that ЄС received support for his position.
