The government launches a pilot project on the use of drones for medical logistics
The government decided to launch a pilot project on the use of drones for medical logistics. This was announced by Prime Minister Сергій Корецький.

The first participant of the project will be the Heart Institute МОЗ of Ukraine. The institution already has three specialized drones capable of overcoming the distance to 700 km and landing on the sites of hospitals.
For transportations there is a clear procedure for coordinating flights with the military. Drones will have a special status and will be identified in the air. Rules of action during air alarm are also defined, including the possibility of landing at a backup point.
«Проєкт реалізують Міністерство охорони здоров’я та Міністерство цифрової трансформації. На його основі плануємо створити українську систему управління польотами цивільних безпілотників (UTM) та визначити правила їх безпечного використання»,
In the conditions of war and a difficult road situation, the transportation of medical goods by cars can take time critical for saving lives. This is especially true for transplantation, where the speed of delivery is crucial. Drones will be able to deliver medicines, medical devices, blood samples for testing and donor organs between hospitals faster, in particular from remote areas.
