The Hill: Republicans in Congress США criticized trump’s decision to export Russian diesel fuel
A number of Republicans in both houses of Congress США criticized the agreement of President Дональда Трампа with the head of Кремля Владіміром Путіним to supply Russian diesel to the world market.
Republican Senator from Луїзіани Джон Кеннеді said that he supports Trump’s desire to reduce fuel prices, but does not approve the decision to allow Russia to export diesel.
"Володимир Путін – кат. Він кат власного народу. І він кат добропорядного народу України. Він ніколи не буде нашим другом", said Kennedy. According to him, the reduction in diesel fuel prices will contribute to the end of the war in Iran.
Republican Senator from Аляски Ліза Меркавскі said that Трамп should use the powers provided by the sanctions legislation, and not allow Russia to earn on fuel exports and continue the war against Ukraine.
"Ми зможемо обговорити повернення Росії на світові енергетичні ринки після завершення війни, але наразі нам потрібно перекрити всі джерела, що їй допомагають", she said.
Meanwhile, a member of the House of Representatives Браян Фіцпатрік, a Republican from Pennsylvania, presented a bipartisan bill "Акт Рональда Рейгана: Мир через силу". According to him, the initiative should block the possibility of a single lifting of sanctions by President Trump. The co-author of the bill was a Republican congressman from Небраски Дон Бейкон.
Fitzpatrick also claimed significant support for Ukraine in Congress and among Americans.

In his opinion, this will only finance the Kremlin’s war machine and contribute to further violence and destruction.
