The Ministry of Defense increased the supply of FPV-drones to the army by almost 3,7 times

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

According to the Agency, in recent months, АОЗ has concluded contracts for the supply of various types of drones in the amount that is approximately 5,5 times higher than the same period last year.

Separately, the Ministry of Defense noted an increase in purchases of FPV-drones. In 2026, the volume of their contracting already exceeded 54% for the entire 2025 year. The number of FPV drones delivered during this period increased almost by 3,7 times.

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Євгеній Хмара explained that the purpose of the department is to provide the military with unmanned systems for tasks at the tactical, operational and strategic levels.

According to him, long-range drones Deep Strike are designed to hit targets deep in Russia. Безпілотники Middle Strike is used to destroy crews of enemy UAVs, disrupt logistics and damage control points.

The Ministry of Defense noted that it was possible to increase the volume of purchases due to international support and expansion of production capabilities of the Ukrainian defense industry complex.

Also, the department is working on coordinating the needs of the front, procurement plans and capabilities of domestic manufacturers. This should make the supply of drones more predictable.

As Cloud explained, stable contract planning allows manufacturers to organize production in advance, calculate logistics needs and purchase components. This helps to increase the volume of drone production and provide the army with the necessary equipment.

Recall. at the beginning of August it became known that the drones for ЗСУ will allocate 8 billion hryvnias.

Note that as of 22 June 95% of all drones that the Defense Procurement Agency purchases for the needs of the Defense Forces are drones of Ukrainian production.
