The requirement to return to the borders of 1991 loses supporters for the third month in a row
In September, the full liberation of the occupied territories to the borders of 1991 was supported by 22% of Ukrainians before the start of negotiations. The share of supporters of such a scenario is reduced for the third consecutive month: in July it was 26,5%, and in August it was 24%.

This is evidenced by the data of a sociological study conducted by order «Слово і діло» from 25 September the City 1 October 2026 the Method of Online Surveys by Self-Filling the Structured Questionnaire 1200 Respondents by age 18 years and older throughout the territory of Ukraine, except for temporarily occupied territories (statistical error - with probability) 0,95 does not exceed 2,89% for indicators close to 50(b) on a specialized survey platform «Lemur» (CAWI – Computer Assisted Web Interviewing).
According to the poll, the scenario of cessation of hostilities along the actual front line with the provision of Western security guarantees remains the most popular among Ukrainians. In September, it was supported by 32% of respondents against 33% in August.
Another 24% of the polled consider it optimal to return to the line of demarcation as of 23 February 2022 with further diplomatic settlement of the status of Crimea and the occupied areas of Donbas. In August, this option was supported by 22%.
The share of respondents who insist on the complete liberation of all occupied territories to the 1991 borders before the start of any negotiations continues a slow decline. In September, it was supported by 22% of Ukrainians. At the same time, in July, 26,5% of respondents supported such a scenario, and in August - 24%.
Another 15% of respondents are ready to support the cessation of hostilities on any terms to stop the death of people. This indicator remains stable for the fifth month in a row.
Shee 7The percentage of respondents did not decide on their position.
Thus, in September, the scenario of cessation of hostilities along the front line with Western security guarantees retained the first place, and the requirement to return to the 1991 borders before the start of negotiations for the first time fell to the third position, giving way to the option of returning to the 23 February 2022 limits.

We will remind, «Слово і діло» published the results of the seventh wave of its own sociological survey. The fifth part is about the negotiation track, the parameters of a peaceful agreement and readiness to serve.
Also, as you know, in August, answering the questions of sociologists about the most acceptable scenarios for the end of the war, 33% of Ukrainians chose the «заморожування» option of the conflict along the front line under Western security guarantees. At the same time, the 1991 option was supported by 24% of the respondents.
And in September, our analysts managed to find out that 79% of Ukrainians do not believe that security agreements with США will work in the event of a new attack by Russia. Over the month, the share of those who categorically do not trust such guarantees increased from 39% to 44%.
