The Russians have prepared special drones for strikes on ЛЕП, - Romanenko

Russia has prepared special drones with cumulative combat units for strikes on power lines. To protect ЛЕП supports from such attacks, grid structures can be used to weaken the effect of enemy ammunition
This was reported by an aviation expert, a leading researcher at the State Aviation Museum Валерій Романенко.
According to the expert, Russia can attack the Ukrainian critical infrastructure, in particular, main pipelines, power lines and bridges. For strikes on energy facilities, the Russians, according to him, prepared special drones with appropriate combat units.
"Росіяни неодноразово підготували спеціальні безпілотники, які будуть це робити зі спеціальною бойовою частиною. Треба готуватися до ударів по всіх наших магістралях — продуктопроводах, газопроводах, лініях електропередач", Romanenko noted.
At the same time, the expert urged not to make premature conclusions about the possible destruction of strategic bridges. According to him, these are complex targets even for high-precision weapons, and the effectiveness of strikes depends on the type of ammunition. He recalled that Russian troops repeatedly attacked the bridges with high-explosive charges, but failed to destroy them.
Romanenko paid special attention to the possibility of protecting infrastructure from drones with cumulative charges. Unlike conventional ammunition, such charges direct the main energy of the explosion in one direction, forming a powerful jet that hits the target.
According to him, special grid structures can be used to protect the supports of power lines, which will reduce the effectiveness of cumulative ammunition. At the same time, final decisions on materials and methods of installing such protection should be made by specialized specialists.
"Найбільша небезпека — це оці вусаті дрони проти наших щогл, веж ліній електропередач. Там можна дійсно натягнути такі сітки, і вони значною мірою зменшать дію ворожих кумулятивних зарядів",
- Recently, ГУР warned that the Russians have modified "Герань-4" jet drones to more effectively impress bridges and power line supports.
