Negotiations between the delegations of Ukraine, the US and Europe in Miami on October 9 ended early. They were planned to be held for two days, but there will be no round on October 10

This was reported by Radio Liberty Washington correspondent Alex Raufoglu, citing sources.

"There will be no second day," the media's interlocutors said.

This happened against the backdrop of the announced agreement between US President Donald Trump and dictator Putin, according to which the Russian Federation will supply diesel fuel to world markets.

At the same time, earlier Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff called the talks constructive. He wrote on X that the main focus was on possible ways to de-escalate and end the war, energy security in the winter period, as well as security guarantees and the reconstruction of Ukraine.

"The discussion was fruitful and helped outline areas for further work before the next US contact with Russia," he added.

What is known about the agreement between Trump and Putin

US President Donald Trump said on October 9 that he had an "extremely successful" telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin. He announced an agreement under which Russia will supply diesel fuel to world markets. After that, the US Treasury Department announced a temporary permit for the export of Russian diesel.

Zelenskyy criticized the agreements between Trump and Putin. He believes that the Ukrainian team "is simply being used as a screen."

Meanwhile, the media wrote that Trump's special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner demanded that Ukraine stop strikes on oil refineries, threatening to deprive Kyiv of American intelligence data. At the same time, the US president himself considered attacks on oil to be "unequal" to Russian strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
