However, Трамп insisted on a unilateral cessation of Ukrainian strikes, as they contributed to the rise in gasoline prices in США. At the same time, the American president did not consider the attacks on the Russian НПЗ equivalent to Russian strikes on the Ukrainian energy infrastructure.

In addition, the parties raised the issue of creating a post-war security system between Europe and Russia, which could satisfy both sides.

According to the American official, Washington hopes that energy agreements with Moscow will help reduce energy prices and encourage Russia to make concessions at peace talks.
