Trump says energy truce in war between Russia and Ukraine "takes effect immediately"

According to Trump, both sides allegedly agreed.

"An energy truce in the war between Russia and Ukraine takes effect immediately. Both sides have agreed. Do not violate it!", the post says.

• The American president had previously announced an "energy truce" in the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, but Moscow violated it.

US President Donald Trump stated that he agreed with Russian leader Vladimir Putin on the supply of Russian diesel fuel to the American and global markets. AXIOS reported that Trump decided to conclude this deal after Volodymyr Zelenskyy refused Washington's demand to unilaterally stop strikes on Russian oil refineries.

Trump criticized Zelenskyy, saying that he "is not ready to make deals" and that Ukraine should choose a new leader who will be able to negotiate an end to the war.

The American side also threatened that the US could deprive Ukraine of access to intelligence data if Kyiv continues to ignore Trump's demands.
