Ukraine, together with НАТО, has developed two models of artificial intelligence for use in the military sphere. One of them is designed to predict Russian attacks by drones, the other is designed to help in planning artillery operations

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The first development analyzes the preliminary data, weather conditions and current situation. Based on the information obtained, artificial intelligence determines the likely intensity of the use of drones, possible areas of attacks, time of strikes and types of drones that the enemy can use.

The model has already been tested on real data arrays. Currently, it is ready for integration into Збройних Сил України situational awareness systems.

The second system is designed to support the planning of artillery actions. During the analysis, it takes into account the available weapons and ammunition, fire positions, logistics capabilities, ballistic characteristics and other limitations.

ШІ analyzes available scenarios, sifting out those that cannot be implemented, and identifies the most appropriate options.

«ШІ відкидає нездійсненні варіанти, оцінює можливі та ранжує їх. Прототип уже передано українським замовникам для випробувань і перевірки», the Defense Ministry said.

Both models created the НАТО Transformation Command and Збройні Сили України with the participation and support of the НАТО-Ukraine Joint Center for Analysis, Training and Education (JATEC).
