Укренерго: Russia has changed the tactics of strikes on the energy system of Ukraine
Since the beginning of October in several regions of Ukraine regularly limit electricity consumption for the population, business and industry, despite the lack of a deficit.

In "Укренерго" explained the main reasons for the shutdown.
The company explained that one of the reasons for the shutdowns was the new tactics of Russian attacks. Russia is carrying out continuous strikes on substations and lines of transmission and distribution systems near large cities with high consumption.
Due to network damage, it becomes difficult or impossible to transmit the required amount of electricity in certain directions, even if there is an excess of power in other regions.
Another reason is the systematic destruction by Russian strikes of generation facilities in certain areas. Because of this, electricity has to be transferred to hundreds of kilometers, which creates an additional load on the main networks. It is on them that Russia now directs a significant part of its strikes.
Constant air alarms in areas where the Russians massively attack high-voltage substations and lines, complicate emergency recovery work. Power engineers work under the threat of repeated strikes, in particular in places where specialists and special equipment are located.
"Укренерго" noted that due to the combination of these factors, light must be switched off in some areas, while in others there are no restrictions. At the same time, electricity can be exported to avoid excess power in the power system.
Power engineers have the necessary experience, equipment and supplies to restore electricity supply after Russian attacks. At the same time, consumers in regions where forced restrictions are in force, urged to use electricity sparingly.
"Чим меншим буде навантаження на мережі – тим коротшими будуть періоди вимушених знеструмлень", the company said.
- 10 October in part of the regions of Ukraine will operate hourly light blackout schedules for all categories of consumers, as well as for business and industry. The reason for the introduction of restrictions is the consequences of Russian rocket and drone attacks on energy facilities.
