"Укренерго" will save about $ 135 million due to restructuring of Eurobonds, - Шмигаль
НЕК "Укренерго" has completed the restructuring of sustainable eurobonds issued in 2021. Thanks to this, the company will save about 135 million dollars, which are planning to focus on the restoration of damaged power grids and strengthening the energy infrastructure.

This was reported by the first Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Energy of Ukraine Денис Шмигаль.
As a result of the restructuring, the total amount of requirements for Eurobonds was reduced to 494,75 million dollars with a 8,6% annual rate and final repayment in 2041.
In addition, the company issued new non-guaranteed bonds in the amount of 395 million dollars with a rate of 8,5% per annum and repayment in 2031. The operation was supported by the owners of 97,49% of Eurobonds.
As noted by Шмигаль, the restructuring became possible, in particular, thanks to the government decree on the state guarantee for the company, adopted at the proposal of the Ministry of Energy.
It is expected that the restructuring will allow to direct more funds to restore electricity networks damaged by Russian attacks, as well as reduce the load on the tariff for the transmission service.
According to the Minister, this decision strengthens the financial stability of "Укренерго" and creates additional opportunities for the restoration and protection of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
